4 days tour from Marrakech to the desert Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Your journey begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. You will drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping to enjoy panoramic views and take photos along the way. The first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular fortified village made of earth and clay that has been used as a filming location for many international movies. After exploring the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate where you can visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios. The drive continues through the beautiful Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses, where you will see palm groves, traditional kasbahs, and charming Berber villages. In the evening, you will arrive in the Dades Valley, enjoy dinner, and spend the night in a comfortable hotel overlooking the mountains.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, you will travel toward the impressive Todra Gorge, famous for its high canyon walls and crystal-clear river. You will have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the natural scenery. The journey continues through Berber villages, Erfoud, and Rissani, towns known for fossils and traditional markets.
