A Discover Magic Tours driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel, and you begin your tour. You drive over rocky mountains to Chefchaouen. At first glance, the view resembles some typical Spanish Mediterranean town, with its white houses and indigo hues. However, when you enter the city, you will find Moorish culture. Life in the medina is peaceful, with no cars, no buses, and no trains. You will enjoy every moment of visiting Makhzen Square, Kebir Mosque, Mellah and Jewish Quarter in this amazing city. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
After breakfast, leave the majestic Chefchaouen village with your Moroccan tourist driver and drive to Fes. However, before reaching Fes, you will stop en route to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, considered the best Roman ruins in Morocco. In addition, you will see the amazing monuments of Meknes, such as the holy city of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, depart Meknes for Fes, the oldest city in the world. Dinner and overnight at your traditional riad or hotel.
Explore the city of Fes on the third day of your trip from Tangier to Marrakech. This majestic city is divided into three parts: Fes el Bali, forming the old part. Fès el Jdid, forming the modern city, and the French side. The Old Town is the most attractive part of the city, at least for tourists. Tourists are amazed as it is one of the greatest medieval sites filled with endless streets. You will admire the city and its stunning traditional architecture.
After lunch, your driver from Discovery Magic will take you to Midelt. Along the way you will stop at the most beautiful places. You first stop in Ifrane; a beautiful and chilly city. The weather in this city is different from other cities in Morocco. Also, it is considered one of the cleanest cities in the world. After visiting Ifrane, drive to Alzou, where you’ll see extinct volcanoes, including Jebel Hebri at 2,104 meters above sea level. You will also visit a cedar forest full of wild monkeys. You can feed them and also play with them. Azou is characterized by a large cedar wood cottage industry. You tour the city with our driver before continuing on to Midelt. Dinner and overnight.
Your desert adventure begins here. Following breakfast, you embark on a journey to Merzouga, traversing the majestic High Atlas mountains and the scenic Ziz Valley. You pause at Ziz Valley to capture breathtaking photographs and immerse yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Subsequently, you continue your route to Merzouga. By mid-afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, where you securely store your belongings at the hotel. Afterward, you savor a delightful cup of tea and relish the charm of the village of Merzouga. You also have an opportunity to rejuvenate before departing for the Merzouga desert. You traverse the desert atop camels until you reach the luxurious camp, where you spend the night. Moreover, you witness a spellbinding sunset that leaves an indelible impression on your soul. The Erg Chebbi dunes present an awe-inspiring spectacle as the sun’s rays grace the golden sands of the Sahara. Later, you partake in an enchanting evening of live music, accompanied by rhythmic drums and a mesmerizing campfire beneath the vast expanse of the starry sky.
The fifth day of your Tangier to Marrakech journey will be dedicated to exploring different regions of the Sahara. You will rise early to witness the magnificent sunrise. Following that, you will embark on an exciting camel trek adventure as the camels guide you back to the village of Merzouga. After refreshing with a shower, you will proceed towards Dades Valley. Along the way, you will pass through Rissani, a significant town renowned for its culinary delights, livestock, and handicrafts. Continuing onward, you will traverse the vast palm grove of Tineghir, where agriculture, date palms, and artisanal works thrive. Upon arrival at Todra Gorges, you will be awe-struck by the breathtaking landscape adorned with numerous kasbahs that dot the path. Later on, you will reach Dades Valley, where you will pause to explore and unwind. Enjoy a delightful dinner at your hotel, where you will spend the night.
After savoring breakfast, you will embark on a journey through the Skoura oasis towards the Roses Valley. This captivating valley is adorned with expansive fields of aromatic flowers, releasing their delightful fragrance throughout the month of May. Here, you will be greeted by awe-inspiring landscapes. Continuing your expedition, you will arrive at the ancient fortified city of Ait Ben Haddou, a distinguished UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. This extraordinary location has served as the setting for numerous renowned movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, The Mummy, and most recently, Game of Thrones. You will have the opportunity to witness the magnificence of the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and immerse yourself in the atmosphere before proceeding to Marrakech.
