Essaouira Mogador Day Trip From Marrakech

Commencing our day excursion from Marrakech at 08:00 am, we will embark on a journey to discover Essaouira. This destination is renowned for its gusty and sun-soaked climate, offering an ideal environment for engaging in exhilarating activities like kite surfing and wind surfing. Alongside the exhilarating water sports, one can also partake in camel treks and horseback rides along the picturesque Essaouira beach. The town boasts numerous historical landmarks, particularly the ancient Medina, formerly known as Mogador. Inside the Medina, one can explore various women’s cooperatives dedicated to the production of argan oil.

Resting upon the fortifications of Mogador, you will find the historic copper cannons dating back to the 16 th century, strategically positioned to face the mighty Atlantic Ocean. This significant location has earned recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Notably, the Gnaoua and World music festivals are held annually in June, adding to the cultural vibrancy of the region. We will return to Marrakech late in the evening, concluding our remarkable day trip.
